COOKIE POLICY
Effective Date: 10 July 2026
This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how Kavera Diamonds LLP, operating under the brand name Kavera ("Kavera", "we", "our", "us"), uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on www.kaveradiamonds.in ("Website"). This Policy is published in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable rules, and is to be read together with Kavera's Privacy Policy. By using the Website, you acknowledge this Policy. Where consent is required for specific cookie categories, it will be sought through the cookie consent banner displayed on the Website.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES & SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
1.1 Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and collect information about how you use the website.
1.2 In addition to cookies, Kavera's Website uses the following similar technologies:
Technology | Description |
Pixels (Web Beacons) | Tiny invisible images embedded in web pages or emails that allow third parties (such as Meta and Google) to detect when a page has been visited or an email opened, and to record the IP address of the device. |
Local Storage | Similar to cookies but stored in the browser's local storage. Used to retain session preferences and cart contents between pages. |
Session Storage | Temporary storage that exists only for the duration of a single browser session and is deleted when the browser tab is closed. |
Tracking Scripts | JavaScript code embedded in Website pages that records user interactions such as clicks, scrolls, navigation paths, and session duration for analytics and advertising purposes. |
2. COOKIE CATEGORIES
Kavera uses four categories of cookies on the Website. The legal basis and consent requirement for each category differs:
Category | Purpose | Consent Required? | Consequence of Disabling |
Essential | Maintain login sessions, cart contents, checkout flow, and Website security. | No — necessary for Website to function. | Website cannot function properly without essential cookies. Checkout and login will not work. |
Functional | Remember user preferences, language settings, and wishlist state. | No — required for legitimate service delivery. | Preferences will not be retained between sessions. Wishlist may not persist. |
Analytics | Measure traffic, user behaviour, session duration, and product interest to improve Website performance. | Yes — via cookie consent banner. | Kavera will not be able to measure website usage or improve customer experience based on analytics data. |
Advertising | Deliver targeted advertisements, measure campaign performance, and build custom audiences for advertising. | Yes — via cookie consent banner. | You will still see advertisements, but they will not be tailored to your interests based on your browsing behaviour on this Website. |
3. COOKIES & TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES CURRENTLY IN USE
The following table sets out every cookie and tracking technology currently deployed on the Website, grouped by category:
Cookie / Tool | Provider | Category | Purpose & Data Processed | Retention |
Session Cookie | Kavera (1st party) | Essential | Maintains login session, cart contents, and checkout flow. Deleted when browser is closed. | Session only |
Security Cookie | Kavera (1st party) | Essential | CSRF protection and form security tokens to prevent unauthorized requests. | Session only |
Wishlist Cookie | Kavera (1st party) | Functional | Remembers wishlist items for guest users between pages. Registered users' wishlists are stored server-side. | Up to 30 days |
Preference Cookie | Kavera (1st party) | Functional | Stores user preferences such as display settings and notification dismissals. | Up to 12 months |
Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _gid, _gat) | Google LLC | Analytics | Measures website traffic, session duration, page views, user journey, and conversion events. Processes IP address (anonymized), device type, and browsing behaviour. | Up to 2 years |
Microsoft Clarity (MUID, CLID, SM) | Microsoft Corp. | Analytics | Session recording, heatmaps, and usability analysis. Records click patterns, scroll depth, and navigation paths. Processes IP address and interaction data. | Up to 1 year |

Google Ads (_gcl_au, IDE) | Google LLC | Advertising | Measures advertising campaign effectiveness and enables remarketing on Google search, YouTube, and Display network. Processes device identifiers and click data. | Up to 90 days |
NOTE — THIRD-PARTY COOKIE INVENTORIES MAY CHANGE The cookie inventory above reflects the technologies deployed at the time of publication. Third-party providers (Google, Meta, Microsoft) may update their cookie names, durations, and data practices independently. Kavera will update this Policy when material changes to the cookie inventory occur. For the most current information on specific cookies set by these providers, refer to their respective privacy and cookie policies. |
4. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS THROUGH COOKIES
4.1 Consent-based analytics and advertising cookies involve the transfer of personal data to third-party providers whose servers are located outside India. The following transfers occur only where you have provided consent through the cookie consent banner:
Provider | Data Transferred | Processing Location | Safeguards |
Google LLC (GA4 & Ads) | IP address (anonymized), device type, browsing behaviour, conversion events | United States (primarily) | Google's standard contractual clauses and privacy framework. See policies.google.com/privacy |
Microsoft Corp. (Clarity) | IP address, session recordings, click and scroll data | United States and EU | Microsoft's data protection terms. See privacy.microsoft.com |
Meta Platforms (Pixel) | Device identifiers, browsing events, conversion data | United States (primarily) | Meta's data processing terms. See www.facebook.com/policy.php |
4.2 These transfers occur only where you have consented to analytics and/or advertising cookies through the cookie consent banner. You may withdraw consent at any time, which will prevent further data transfers to the relevant providers for new sessions. Withdrawal of consent does not affect data already processed by these providers before withdrawal.
5. CONSENT — HOW WE OBTAIN & MANAGE IT
5.1 When you first visit the Website, a cookie consent banner will be displayed. The banner gives you clear options to:
- Accept all cookies (essential, functional, analytics, and advertising);
- Reject non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising);
- Customise your preferences by category — accepting or rejecting each non-essential category individually; or
- Read this Cookie Policy before making a choice.
5.2 Essential and functional cookies are not subject to the consent banner as they are necessary for the Website to operate. They will be placed regardless of your preference selection.
5.3 Analytics and advertising cookies will only be activated after you have affirmatively accepted the relevant category. Closing the banner without making a selection, or scrolling past it, does not constitute consent.
5.4 Your consent preferences are stored in a first-party cookie on your device for up to 12 months, so you are not asked again on every visit. After 12 months, or if you clear your browser cookies, the consent banner will reappear.
5.5 You may change your consent preferences at any time by:
- Clicking the "Cookie Preferences" or "Manage Cookies" link available in the Website footer; or
- Clearing cookies in your browser settings — note that this will reset all preferences and you will be asked again on your next visit.
DPDP ACT, 2023 — CONSENT STANDARD Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, consent for the processing of personal data through analytics and advertising cookies must be specific, informed, and unambiguous. Kavera's cookie consent mechanism is designed to meet this standard. Consent is not obtained through pre-ticked boxes, bundled acceptance, or implied conduct. Each non-essential cookie category requires an affirmative opt-in. |
6. CONTROLLING COOKIES THROUGH YOUR BROWSER
6.1 In addition to the Website's cookie consent banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings. All major browsers allow you to:
- View cookies currently stored on your device;
- Delete individual cookies or all cookies;
- Block all cookies from specific websites; and
- Block all third-party cookies.
6.2 Browser-specific instructions for managing cookies:
Google Chrome | Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data |
Mozilla Firefox | Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data |
Safari (Mac/iOS) | Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data |
Microsoft Edge | Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies |
Samsung Internet | Settings → Privacy → Smart Anti-Tracking / Cookie Settings |
6.3 Blocking all cookies through your browser will prevent essential cookies from functioning, which will prevent you from logging in, maintaining a cart, or completing a purchase on the Website. Kavera recommends using the Website's cookie consent banner to manage non-essential cookies rather than blocking all cookies at browser level.
7. OPTING OUT OF ADVERTISING NETWORKS
In addition to withdrawing consent through the Website's cookie banner, you may opt out of interest-based advertising directly through the advertising networks we use:
Google Ads opt-out | Visit myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy → Ad Settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout |
Meta / Facebook opt-out | Visit facebook.com/settings → Ads → Ad Preferences, or use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out at optout.aboutads.info |
Microsoft opt-out | Visit account.microsoft.com/privacy → Privacy Dashboard → Advertising ID |
Opting out through these platforms prevents interest-based advertising but does not remove all advertising. You will continue to see generic (non-targeted) advertisements.
8. MICROSOFT CLARITY — SESSION RECORDING DISCLOSURE
8.1 Kavera uses Microsoft Clarity, an analytics tool that records anonymized session replays, heatmaps, and user interaction data to help Kavera understand how visitors use the Website and to identify usability improvements.
8.2 Microsoft Clarity may record:
- mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling behaviour;
- pages visited and navigation path;
- time spent on each page; and
- approximate geographic location based on IP address (city-level only, not precise location).
8.3 Microsoft Clarity does not record:
- payment card numbers, CVV codes, or any payment authentication data;
- passwords or security credentials;
- government-issued identity document details; or
- any data entered in fields masked by the Website's session recording configuration.
8.4 Session recording data is processed by Microsoft Corporation under its Data Processing Agreement. Data may be processed in the United States and other locations where Microsoft operates. Microsoft Clarity is active only where you have consented to analytics cookies through the cookie consent banner.
YOUR CHOICES REGARDING SESSION RECORDING If you do not wish your session to be recorded, you may reject analytics cookies through the Website's cookie consent banner. You may also opt out directly via Microsoft's privacy dashboard at account.microsoft.com/privacy. Withdrawing analytics consent will immediately prevent new session data from being collected by Microsoft Clarity. |
9. TRACKING IN MARKETING EMAILS
9.1 Marketing emails sent by Kavera may contain tracking pixels that allow Kavera to measure whether an email has been opened and whether links within the email have been clicked. This helps Kavera assess the effectiveness of its communications.
9.2 Email tracking pixels collect:
- whether the email was opened (and the date and time of opening);
- the IP address of the device on which the email was opened; and
- which links in the email were clicked.
9.3 Email tracking applies only to marketing and promotional emails. Order confirmation, dispatch notification, and other transactional emails may contain limited tracking for delivery confirmation purposes only.
9.4 You may opt out of marketing email tracking by:
- unsubscribing from marketing emails via the "Unsubscribe" link in any marketing email;
- configuring your email client to block automatic loading of external images (which disables pixel tracking); or
- contacting Kavera at info@kaveradiamonds.in to request removal from marketing communications.
10. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
10.1 Kavera will update this Cookie Policy when:
- new cookies or tracking technologies are added to the Website;
- existing cookies are removed or materially changed;
- applicable law changes in a way that affects cookie consent requirements; or
- third-party providers update their data practices in a material way.
10.2 Material changes to this Policy will be notified through the Website's cookie consent banner, which will reappear to allow you to review and re-confirm your preferences. Minor updates (such as correcting cookie names or retention periods) will be made without a separate notification.
10.3 The effective date displayed at the top of this Policy indicates the date the current version came into force.
